I'm planning to hire a migrant worker living in Korea to be a one-day DJ. (The worker will actually be a cultural ambassador for three different countries.) This 'ambassador' will receive training and compensation for work as a DJ. He or she will play a compilation of Norwegian music as well as other varou music for the opening party of "ID Drawing Gig" at a functioning plastic factory in the industrial port city of Incheon, Korea.
Incheon is a symbol of multiculturalism with a history embedded with colonialism and global trade. Within one city exists a strong Korean, Chinese, Japanese, British, and American presence. "The 'ambassador' will introduce the Bergen music, selected by the artist (from Korea) from her artist residency in Norway as well as his favorite music, to a Korean audience. All selected music is streamed at the Moroccan Radio Apartment #22 online radio station under the title of Scratching Surface Diving in Deep/Jooyoung Lee.

작가노트part 2

1차전시 결과물전시인 2차전시에서는 홍샤인과 뇌태풍이 마포 농수산물시장분들을 위해 만든 GGOI의 노래 즉흥곡뿐만 아니라 일반인들이 접하기 어려운 GGOI와 연계한 국내외 다양안 실험음악을GGOI는 홍보했습니다. 사운드 녹음한 홍샤인, 마스터링/요기가, 편집/조영민에게도 감사드립니다. 요기가에서 만난 기타리스트 김광석씨의 미발표곡 은하수 (싱글)이 소개되었고, 그리고 영국에서 음악을 보내주신 Dominik Salter Dvorak와 모로코 Radio Apartment 22에서 음악을 보내주신 큐레이터 Abdellah Karroum에게도 감사드립니다.

2차 전시에서 GGOI 첫번째 공연은 Angela Roberts & Scott Goff, 두번째 GGOI 공연 불가사리에 참여하신 김영진, 사토 유키에, 이한주, 진상태, 최준용, 조영민, 홍샤인, Angela & Scott, Jeremy Monroe, 전주에서 이날 공연을 위해 오신 Istvan Danko 에게도 감사드립니다. 이 모든 분들에 의해 GGOI 프로젝트의 정체성은 구축되었습니다. 현재 GGOI안에서 생산된 모든 음악들은 모로코 RadioApartment 22에 온라인으로 소개될 예정이고, 동시에 카셋트테입으로 제작되어 GGOI와 개입한 모든분들과 공유할 예정입니다.

그리고, 2차 전시때 사운드 레코딩하랴 매일매일 작은 사고가 나는 전문가의 악기들땜에 고생한 도슨트 우용규, 천준일, Veril 씨에게도 감사드립니다. 마지막으로 2차전시 오픈날 새벽에 마포농수산물시장에 들러 작가와 함께 장보기에 도움을 준 작가 안정과 전시중반 뇌태풍의 키보드를 점검하다 지쳐 본인의 키보드를 전시를 위해 기꺼이 빌려준 Michael Joseph Oakley에게도 감사드립니다. 이번 프로젝트에 직접 오지는 못했지만 초기 개념설정에 많은 생각을 작가와 나눈 노르웨이 비평가 Erlend Hammer, 시카고에서 미술공부하면서 블로그 번역에 시간을 내준 박은희에게도 감사드립니다. 이런 복잡한 과정을 적극적으로 기획해주신 이재준씨와 항상 인내심있게 작가를 도와주신 큐레이터 배소현, 조소영, 그리고, 전시준비 초반에 작가와 많은 의견을 나누어 주신 지금은 런던에 계신 홍지혜씨께도 감사드립니다.
